Have you ever wanted to dance in the Nutcracker? Now is your chance to be part of The Dance Center’s annual “A Nutcracker Christmas!” We are having an open audition for dancers ages 7 and up on Friday, September 8, 2023

Ages 7 through 10 will audition from 5:00-6:30.

Ages 11 through 18 will audition from 6:00-8:30

The Dance Center will be offering “A Mini Nutcracker Christmas” for ages 2 through 6 in all of our Intro to Dance classes. If you sign up for any “Intro to Dance” or “Intro to Technique” classes you will be automatically enrolled in that show. Please stay tuned for more details as the Fall schedule is released. This show will be held at The Franco Center on The Nutcracker stage, Thursday evening, November 30th, 2023

Auditioners, please come to the Dance Center Basement door, prepared to fill out a packet of information and thoroughly read through all of the provided guidance about roles, and rehearsal times. All female dancers will need to arrive in a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and hair pulled back in a ballet bun. Dancers may wear a small dance skirt. Male dancers will need to wear a white fitted shirt, black footed tights, and black ballet slippers. Any pointe students in the age group 11 through 18, should bring their shoes and prepare to wear them at some point in the audition.

It is free to audition and participate in The Dance Center’s, “A Nutcracker Christmas”

We expect that all performers will take this responsibility seriously. Performers need to be at all their allotted rehearsal times and arrive 10 minutes early. The Nutcracker is very rewarding, but takes a lot of dedication.

Dress Rehearsal for “A Nutcracker Christmas” will be Wednesday evening, November 29th. Showtimes are Friday evening, December 1st and Saturday all day, December 2nd.
